Pass forward & Care
CSR Plan
FRANZ launched the first FRANZ AWARD in 2007, the predecessor of FRANZ Rising Star Project. This contest inspired FRANZ to set the ambition to excavate and develop porcelain talents. In 2012, FRANZ gave birth to Taiwan’s first art-oriented philanthropic proposal, Project Imagination. Originated from FRANZ brand spirit, “Loving, Caring, and Sharing,” and attained from the benevolent funds accumulated by the Group’s 100 employees, Project Imagination, advocating artistic education and teeming with children’s laughter and joy, was initiated. To this day, FRANZ still adheres to its brand spirit, persisting in guiding, continuing, and returning beautiful things to society.

For a long time, FRANZ emphasized cultivating Taiwan’s scientific, humanities, and artistic talents. Due to vast urban-rural gap, however, we found that kids from remote towns, owing to educational resource shortage, were unable to explore their talents and fully realize the uniqueness and value of their community culture from a globalized perspective, which unfortunately suppressed the potential of their growth and development. Therefore in 2012, we initiated Project Imagination, an art and culture oriented philanthropic proposal.

  • Converging Creativity & Passing Down Legacy
From FRANZ AWARD to FRANZ Rising Star Project: Cultivating the Next Generation for Porcelain Art
“As what seen in dream, as what achieved in dream.” We look forward to seeing students aspiring to porcelain design around the world being able to fully wield their talents and creativity, conceptualizing their visions and realizing their dreams tomorrow. I am convinced that with dots of starlight lit up one by one, one day, we will be the guiding light for Taiwan to enter the world. This is why we expanded Project Imagination this year and transformed it to be FRANZ Rising Star Project, largely increasing the number of selected students from ten to one hundred. Each one of them will be rewarded with a NT$30,000 scholarship, and may give exhibitions or study at various international artistic institutions, such as Grand Palais, Porzellanikon Selb, Today Art Museum, British Ceramics Biennial, Central Saint Martins, Hongik University, Jingdezhen Ceramic University, China Academy of Art, etc. It is our hope to excavate more “stars” at home and abroad and converging them to the design platform in Taiwan. In spite the fact that entering the world means a rough road ahead, as long as we persist, gathering enough light, I’m sure we are making big strides on the bright way.
