Heavenly Peerage Vase Heavenly Peerage Plate The National Palace Museum’s collection “Still life of gardenia” is a masterpiece of the famous flower and bird painter Xu Xi from the Southern Tang Dynasty, showing the color contrast of snow-white gardenia and green leaves as well as a sparrow standing on the branch looking at the hornet. As “the sparrow and the hornet” sound similar to “granting peerage”, Franz Collection created the Heavenly Peerage Vase based on the theme. The piece is to symbolize congratulations on career promotion.
