Story
Almond Tree in Blossom design This piece is inspired by Van Gogh’s painting “Almond Tree in Blossom, 1888”. Van Gogh’s rich imagination was inspired by the spring of Arles in France. He liked the blossoming trees particularly. Within a month in 1888, he created 14 paintings based on the theme of orchards. In “Almond Tree in Blossom”, Van Gogh made a lively depiction of an almond tree. The tree branches extend to the edges of the painting to symbolize the boundless strength of life. In order to express the natural beauty portrayed in the painting, the Franz designer created a vase with six sides to show the beauty of an almond tree orchard. The yellow butterflies flying in the pink almond blossom are so vivid they appear to be flying out of the painting. The painting illustrates the creative imagination of the designer.
