BLOSSOMING ALMOND BRANCH This piece is inspired by Van Gogh’s painting “BLOSSOMING ALMOND BRANCH IN A GLASS, 1888”. The almond blossom symbolizes the coming spring. Van Gogh considered the almond blossom as a symbol of hope and happiness. With great creativity, Van Gogh purposely added the red line in the background to serve as a contrast to the gentle colors of glass and flowers. The Franz designer’s unique form of the vase is a contrast to the almond blossom branches that go up, showing the persistence of life. The exquisite hand-painting records a joyful moment.
